Meet our agents! You’ll learn important information about their tastes and distastes and the types of books they represent. PLUS, you’ll have an opportunity to ask them ANY questions you have (which is a real sweet opportunity before you pitch them).
11:15am: Writing and Mental Health with Holly Eve, Forbes Contributing Writer
Writing has saved so many of us, and Holly can’t wait to share it saved her life. Storytelling is healing, and, as writers, our mental health depends on an intentional writing practice. Learn how daily writing can support your mental health + tips on how to become more consistent, productive, and content.
12pm: Break for lunch!
1pm: Reclaiming Personal Power in the Face of the Publishing Industry with Kate Juniper
The publishing industry presents as a powerful, mysterious realm surrounded by mythology and misinformation. For us writers, the stakes are high, and the process of “getting our work out there” often proves compromising to our mental health. How do we remedy this? You’ll learn how to interrogate the stories we so often accept as gospel, and come to pitching from a place of personal power.

2:45pm: Storytelling Session

Now that you’ve learned all about the industry and have pitched your book, let’s talk about how to be a working author. But first, I bet you have questions after yesterday. We’re ready to answer them.
10:30am: Keynote Speaker | Damon Brown, How to Bring Your Worth

In his talk, we’ll celebrate the power of our written and performed word, recognizing our individual and collective power and resilience, and see how our profit can match our work without shame, fear, or resistance. 11:15am: Literary Magazines: A Writer’s Platform with Olivia Dolphin from Wizards in Space Magazine
How do you build a platform as an author? Join Editor in Chief Olivia Dolphin from the Wizards in Space literary magazine to discuss how literary magazines work, how to submit to them, and why it’s important for your career.

1pm: Mental Health Writing Workshop with Jordan Corcoran
Let’s put our craft to practice! Jordan Corcoran, author and founder and CEO of Listen, Lucy, wants to share her story and some powerful writing exercises with you.
